I am an artist from the South East of England living in suburban London. Following a 15-year career in the waste intensive world of window display and theatre I am constantly questioning the use of raw materials in my practise and home. This motivates me to unravel unwanted old clothes and soft furnishings exploring their meaning and thinking about who made them and how.

Drawing on my connection to the victorian textiles industry of the north west I play with traditional skills and learn new ones. I explore family and community networks and what it means to be at the heart of them as a Mother at a cross roads between the old and the young. I interrogate my nostalgia for the London suburbs and small towns in the South East and North West of England referencing the architecture and interiors of these spaces. I am currently studying on the MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths (2021-2023)
